MITRAMAHDD Project

MITRAMAHDD Project is a project of Igor Volkov and Maria Mikhaylovskaya (Moscow). This is a completely improvisational project with a minimum of processing and gloss, in which a duo of harp and piano makes a journey into the world of the hidden and the unconscious. Igor Volkov is a composer, pianist and music producer, author of theater and film soundtracks, classical and electronic music. Maria Mikhaylovskaya is a harpist and composer, author of works for harp, arrangements and transcriptions. Both musicians are graduates of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. During its existence – from 2016 to 2018 – MITRAMAHDD Project has released six albums. In each one, compositions united by a crosscutting theme: from female images of ancient Greek mythology to actual problems of present day.
