Anton Gryzlov

Anton Gryzlov is a composer for ballet, film, and the concert stage. His ballet Sakura was written in 2016, following an earlier engagement with Japanese traditions in the symphonic suite Tsushima (2002). A Berklee College of Music graduate in composition and film scoring, he also studied Japanese music with Allen LeVines. His catalog includes the symphony War and Love, chamber and electroacoustic works; the symphony was recorded in Prague in 2015 with Julius Penson Williams and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. He scores film and television, collaborating with broadcasters such as Rossiya 1, Channel Five, and RWS, with early credits including Alexander Nevzorov’s Horse Encyclopedia. He co-authored a symphonic suite for Saint Petersburg’s 300th anniversary and contributed as composer and arranger to the Scarlet Sails show. Gryzlov combines classical craft with contemporary music technologies.
