The project thewalkingicon was formed in early 2018 by Sasha Rempel, vocalist of the Kaliningrad breakbeat formation Inspira, and Dmitry Osipov, participant and founder of the renowned Moscow pillars of the alternative and industrial-EBM scene of the 90s, Crocodile T.X. and Thaivox, who made quite a stir in their time with performances alongside The Prodigy, The Young Gods, and Clawfinger, and with the album NewBodyForms, which was actively rotated on top radio stations. thewalkingicon has released two albums (the latest currently released by American indie label Negative Gain Productions and received good reviews and rotation, particularly on KEXP radio and national Canadian radio CBC) and several singles.
