Artem, aka Magiksolo, musician from Russia, Kazan was born in small provincial town of Balashov, began his career with experimental electronic music, experimented with sound on a modular synthesizer and released his live works on underground labels in Berlin and London. "I aimed at experimental abstract electronica, with a dark ambient twist and noise, while I was inspired by such artists as Merzbow, ENA, Ryoji Ikeda, Shapednoise, Samurai Music and many others. After that I started studying jazz harmony and improvisation on the piano, which is how I came to lo-fi hip-hop, jazz, neo-soul and to my current sound, but I also don’t give up my passion experimental abstract electronics. I'm inspired by people like this artists like Rob Araujo, J Dilla, Jacob Collier, Robert Glasper, MXXWLL, fast-fast, hip-hop and old-school jazz".
