Jiv Jago
The electronic mantra project Jiv Jago was formed in 2013 from an acoustic Vaishnava kirtan group. For 20 years, the project’s founders, Malati and Makhonchor, have been perfecting their skill on the mridangam, tampura, and karatal—traditional Bengali musical instruments. The project’s vocalist, Lila, who joined later, has mastered Russian and Greek folk.
