Alexander Goldstein
Alexander Borisovich Goldstein was born in Moscow in the family of a musician of the Bolshoi Theater orchestra. At the age of 6, he began studying at the Gnessin School and 16 years later graduated from the Gnessin Institute (now the Academy) in French horn and conducting classes. Soon he began working as a film composer. Alexander Goldstein has composed music for 27 feature films, more than 300 documentaries and animations. His works include instrumental music, compositions for various ensembles and orchestras, songs, music for theatrical productions and circus performances. Since 1991, Alexander Goldstein has been living in the USA and Russia and continues to compose music. Among his recent works are "The Neapolitan Symphony", the symphonic poem "To Be Or Not To Be", "Rotissimo" suite for violin, clarinet and string orchestra, "Rhapsody on a theme of Albinoni" for violin, cello, harpsichord and string orchestra, "The Beauty Of Ostinato" for string orchestra and bassguitars, "Forward To The Past" for organ and two violins, "Trio on the roof" for piano, violin and clarinet, a cycle of romances "One-sided correspondence", a multimedia project "Introspective trio" and compositions for sports performances. Chamber and symphonic works by Alexander Borisovich Goldstein are constantly performed in Russia, the USA, Canada, Spain, Finland, Switzerland, Turkey and other countries of the world.
