American producer, singer and songwriter Jozaya Mora began his musical career in the indie rock band of the same name, releasing two EPs between 2008 and 2010. After the band disbanded, Jozaya began working with local dance producers and DJs in an attempt to become better known in the circles of the local underground house scene. Further interest in dance music finally led to his success as a headlining DJ, alongside some of Colorado's biggest names. Shortly after his debut, he caught the attention of Paul Oakenfold, who signed and released his track on the Planet Perfecto Vol.3 Vegas to Ibiza compilation.
