Katty Barcelona

Katty Barcelona is a singer, songwriter, and poet whose music blends pop rock with ethnic elements. “Rock and its variations allow me to fully express my vocal and emotional range, while ethnic motifs seem to awaken something ancient within me,” she says. Born and raised in Moscow, Katty showed an early interest in singing and began to consciously pursue music in 2008. To date, Katty Barcelona has released six singles as an independent solo artist and contributed vocals and lyrics to around 30 tracks in various collaborative projects. Her single “Vokrug Tebya” (“Around You”) was turned into a music video and won the national radio contest “A Star from the People.” In 2023, she launched a music-themed audio podcast titled “Barcelona for You,” with the support of radio DJ and producer Vladimir Kurakolov. In 2024, she published a poetry collection called “Twelve Bows to the Sun Before the Jaguar’s Cave.” The central theme of Katty’s work is love – in all its forms, meanings, and emotional depth. Her lyrics and melodies are filled with subtle sensations and vivid associative imagery. She believes that music is a language that helps people process emotions, discover new meanings, and find strength within – a vision she brings to every piece she creates. Katty Barcelona’s music is available on all major digital platforms. She is also the frontwoman and concept creator for the band New Planet, which released its debut album in spring 2025. Katty continues to evolve as a solo artist, currently building her official website, exploring new creative directions, and preparing to release more music that is still waiting for its time.
