Downtempo 2

Downtempo or downbeat is a style of modern electronic music characterized by slow tempo and, most often, broken rhythm. “Brokenness” of the rhythm is achieved by shifting the strong parts of the beat on the weak (syncopation) or by the simultaneous combination of two or more independent rhythms (polyrhythm). It is close to trip-hop, but differs from it by its less pressurized and depressive musical atmosphere; it is also similar to ambient in sound, but, unlike the latter, it has a pronounced rhythmic structure, often consisting of loops (loops), which have a “hypnotic” effect.
